N80- Unlock code (provided by Vodafone) error

I just got the unlock code from vodafone which cost me 20 pounds.However, It is "code error" !

I guess that it is due to I changed the firmware and language pack by phoenix.

Does anyone can tell me what is the original firmware and language pack s/n for UK vodafone?

So I can flash it back and unlock my phone

I think if you just use the Nokia Software updater it will recognise it is a Voda branded handset and reinstall the correct firmware at which point the unlock code should work IMO.

that hapend to me a long time ago, its not due to FW update (i dnt think), ring voda and tell them, if it cant be resolvd they will have to send u a new fone with a new unlock code, dont mention uv done a FW update and if they ask say u enterd the unlock code ONCE and ONCE only!
 
Did you have to pay out your contract too?

What is the version code meant to be for a Vodafone UK phone anyway?

Does anyone have the Vodafone specific firmware packs so we can re-brand the phone to its expected settings?
 
T-Mobile USA provides unlock codes for the phones they sell for free and they still get it wrong from time to time. Mistakes happen folks. Call them back let them know and give them the opportunity to correct the problem.
