N80 owners. wouldn't this be a better auto lock feature?

The current batch of key lock softwares lock the keys whether the slider is open or close by the predefined user set time limit. The included phone lock locks only if you press lock when you slide the slider close.

I think a better feature to have would be:

slider open: never auto locks or preset time

slider close: instant key lock.

i figure if the owner wants the device open, that it shouldn't auto lock.

my 2 cents. anyone else think this would be a good/bad idea?

yes, it requires user intervention when you close the slider. if you do nothing it doesn't lock.

i meant there is a program for auto lock, like Epocware Handy KeyLock.

no it doesnt u can set how many seconds for it to keylock with that app

As stated, above Handy Keylock fulfills the requirements. It doesn't lock the screen if the slider is open (unless you set it up that way), and when you close the slide, the keys are locked automatically, without user intervention.

Yup, that's how mine is setup using Handy Keylock. Open, nada, it always is unlocked. Close it, locks automatically.

So, at the OP, try Handy Keylock, it does what you ask.
