N80, N73 and Sony Ericsson W950

Hi,

Im looking to buy a contract phone and have the choice of the N73 and W950. What im wanting to know is the major differences over the N80 i have now. And Would you change a N80 for the advantages of either of those 2 phones?

Camera on N73 better than your N80 and so is the audio for music. N80 only advantage over either of the phones is wifi. W950i size, 4gb hard drive, and touch screen and music is superior to either of the models. Also it has ad2p support for wireless bluetooth headphones. Get N73 if main thing you want to do is take pictures. Get W950i if you want music player and pda but no camera. If you want wifi stick with N80

Well i use wifi every now and them but i do take a fair share of pictures. But i do like my music but i have a 30gb ipod lol hmm. I wish orange had a better selection of phone lol
 
If you mean me, im from the UK. Hmm tempted a bit more for the N73, anyone got any pictures to compare say against my N80? But also its quite a big phone aint it? Also whats the memory on it like? MY N80 is full lol only taken about 100pics and 7 songs.
 
How big the memory depends on how big a memory card you put in the phone The N80 comes with 128mb as standard. The N73, I believe, comes with no memory card, so that's something you have to purchase right away. With regards size, the N80 is shorter and thicker and the N73 is longer and thinner. They're both the same width.
 
i would definitely change to an n73 cause another one of its advantages compared to the n80 is its screen, which is alot bigger and - in my opinion - brighter.
i know the n80 actually has a higher solution but the screen of the n73 is very sharp as well and simply looks alot better.
also the n73 does not look very big and definitely has a sharper and more elegant shape than the n80.
 
If you use Wifi regularly enough you'll save ???'s off of your monthly bill if you use too much on GPRS.

Do orange do any unlimited GPRS packages at all? If so and you're not going to pay a premim for your internet usage, i'd say go for the N73.

The W950 would have been a lovely phone if it had a cam and Wifi and gould have been my next phone but I browse the web and check my emails regularly on my N91 so the Wifi is invaluable to me.
 
I'm kind of in the same boat as a few of the people here... I've had my N80 for a few months now and I'm considering buying an N73ME because the battery life is just really lame on my N80. I have an unlimited GPRS account with T-mobile so when I'm not near a wifi point I use that. I'm not sure if I could deal with not having wifi with the N73 since browsing on wifi is so much faster than using the GPRS connection. Although most of the time I use wifi with my N80 I could just use my computer... guess I'm being lazy.

I finally got to use an N73 extensively for the first time and the screen is WAY bigger... I didn't think 2.1 to 2.4 inches would make that much of a difference, but it does, even if it's less resolution. I do still like the N80's pixel density but the N73 spanks the N80 in terms of screen brightness. Also, the N73's video quality isn't dismal like the N80's in low light...

So I guess it comes down to:
N80's wifi and pixel density in a shorter but fatter package vs. the N73's larger screen with better brightness and camera in a longer but more slender body.

What do you guys think I should do? (I have some money I can spend on a Christmas present for myself)

OR wait for the N95... but who knows when that'll be...
