Mine is made in China and my battery is awesome. Personally I don't care where my phone is made as I believe there is always going to be a percentage of defects that will leak through any factory.
Quality issues aside, Finland models have the better resale value.
Sell a Nokia on eBay and see how many times somebody will ask you if the phone is made in Finland or China? Even when I put the whole it's made in China but there's no difference in the item description they still ask.
All things equal people still prefer the Finland model, which is why I stand by my earlier comment even if it's for resale value alone...
From a resale perspective you're probably right for ebay anyways. I personally don't resell my phones, I normally just give them away or let him rot in drawer somewhere...
Mine is Made in China. No battery issue, no rebooting issue... just a couple of annoying software bugs (like, no way to Accept/Reject meeting invitations...)
According to iSuppli, the cost to build the Nokia N8 is $187. The most expensive of those components is the screen according to iSuppli with an estimated cost of $39.25 for that part alone. To compare iSuppli has estimated that it costs Apple $187.51 to build the iPhone 4.
The two smartphones have significantly different prices for unlocked versions despite the similar cost to build. The N8 sells for $549 sans contract from Nokia. The iPhone 4 on the other hand sells for $748.99 via Amazon with no contract.
