N75 product codes

Given that the unbranded version isn't out, don't hold your breath. Also, even if you have the product code, the firmware has to be loaded into NSU, and has to be newer than your current firmware for you to be able to use it.

I'd say it'll be late June before you're able to unbrand it.

Rick....ok I'm going off on a noobish question...................so................it is possible to debrand this phone....we just have to wait for an unbranded phone/firmware....change the product code on the branded n75 to the unbranded n75 and update via NSU......right?

Main goal for me is to change the language on it, with proper product code I can "re-install" same firmware with different language file. I thought ppl like you (with inside connections) maybe know product codes already...

Dang! I forgot, N75 is intended for NA market, so probably there won't be a Russian variant

Correct. However, the key is that the unbranded firmware HAS to be a HIGHER firmware than the branded.

This is the problem with the E62, and why you can't unbrand it anymore. The previous fix took advantage of a feature (that's no longer there) in NSU that allowed you to re-apply firmware. In other words, say you have firmware 4.00.01, you could change product code from Cingular to Generic and tell NSU to "re-apply" the 4.00.01 firmware. However, now, you can only apply NEWER firmware, i.e. 4.00.02 or greater. If they don't come out with new firmware, or if the unbranded is older than the branded, you're screwed.

They may have put it back in then. Or only activated it for certain devices. I know for a while it was taken out. However, like I said, as long as the most recent unbranded firmware is higher than the firmware you have on yours, then you can use NSS.

They might've just enabled it for certain devices, I don't have any other Nokia phones to check. Since you're saying unbranded version hasn't been released yet, I guess those unbranded N75's on Ebay are not really unbranded?

There's a difference in released and available.

However, even if you did get the unbranded product code, if they don't have the firmware loaded into NSU, then it still won't work.
