N75 or BB Pearl?

Well, Im coming from the world of Verizon Motorola Q and I hate WM5 to death!!

Here are my needs:
1) Good screen
2) Good reception
3) Small compact form factor
4) POP

I want to get a phone that is small, light and also have a lot of PDA features. I researched two phones. The N75 and the BB Pearl. I played around with the Pearl a lot (going to the Cingular corp stores) and liked the OS, seems stable and the form factor..

I unfortunately havne't had a chance to find a N75 to play around with it, so I have nothing to compare it to...

I heard good things about Symbian OS being a good balance of Phone and PDA... and blackberry being, well a crackberry...

I never owned aphone with either OSes, and I'm curious to see what you guys (and gals) opinion is on these phones?

don't know about blackberry - but I have n75 and I just got v3xx...now waiting for the labels for n75 so that I can ship it back...too many problems. The phone itself is THICK and heavy (not brick heavy but you will DEFINATELY FEEL THE WEIGHT in your pocket).
The screen whines and I get a lot of "connection errors"
 
I have them both.. I use the N75 daily and must say that I am totally happy.. I now only use the pearl for email, but would can-it, if the N75 had a push email solution. They are both good phones, but the BB phones are good email clients and that's about it..
 
I played arounds with BB Pearl a bit, and personally, found the UI a bit confusing.. perhaps its just because I have more experience with S60/Symbian.
 
Would you cansider the BB 8800. I was going to et the pearl and then started playing around with the 8800 and loved it. It is just as thin as the pearl but has a faster processor, gps built in, and full keyboard
 
Viipottaja: I'm getting the same feeling.. I do email a bit, but not as much as I do. I can deal with T9 pretty well..

grdella: never considered the BB 8800 . .. guess I should really look at it since it is newer than the Pearl

I'm leaning towards the N75..
 
I've had my order in for a little over a week now with Amazon. The ship date hasn't changed and CS hasn't been able to tell me anything usefull. But to get the N75 for $50, it's not too bad. =).

Is your order scheduled to ship end of may/early june as well?
 
mine is slated for late june, but i heard that the shipping date is inflated because the phone is already out and shipping to agents like wirefly and what not..

I'm sure amazon will come thru
 
Oddly enough, the price on Amazon has tripled to $150. I wonder how long they're going to make us wait for those "underpriced" N75 orders..

edit - nevermind. They have the $150 through WireFly by default, you can still select via Amazon for $50.
