N75 and Music Manager software problems

I have the nokia suite installed and i have been trying to add music by using the "Convert to Mobile optimized format" tool. When I do this, the songs play extremely fast. Has anyone else had this problem. What is the solution.

What format are they in to begin with? I just put my memory card in that had my mp3s in it and it played fine.

They were all in mp3 format. Those play fine, but the purpose of changing them is to reduce the size of the files so that I can get more music on the phone. Anyone else had this problem?
