N73 Standby and theme problem

Hey,
On my N73 i have a different active standby than most other people and every time I change the theme, the display pic on standby screen stays the same and does not change to my theme picture.

As you can see on the pic I have attached, the backgound should be changing but there is something stopping it. I have to switch of active standby to get the new pic to be displayed.

My question is does anyone know how i can change the backgroung picture on the standby screen to go with the theme and still have active standby on.

Many thanks for any help

Edward

Looks like your active standby may be an additional software version and not the Nokia default one. The icons are off not to mention the location so im not too sure how to help you for this

Yea it was supplied by Orange. I used to have a vodafone one and the active standby was like horizontal and better. I take it you have the same kind of problem?
Thanks anyway fidorulz

No I don't. The reason it's different is because your phone is loaded with Orange branded firmware. Basically, Orange for some reason sees fit to mess with the software on the phone, changing things around and, in your case, changing the active standby. There's nothing you can do about it short of flashing the phone to generic firmware. This will void your warranty though.

ewwwww they really did ruin the active standby. that sux. I agree though flashing with an unbranded firmware should do the trick.

i kinda like that type of active standby just because it is different, lol. although it might be a pain to use in the long run, lol.

yea it is a pain, even in the short run, I am not able to change the background when active standby is on. and it just looks ugly
Can anyone help me how I can rebrand (flash) the phone to a generic firmware. and where I can find these from.

Many thanks to everyone
