N73 ME to IE Question

I read that the Vanilla N73 regular can be updated to ME or IE version, I don't have the Vanilla version but I have the Legit N73 ME and i was wondering if i can still update it to IE version so that i can use the music key as a multimedia key and free up ram space coz i hate the music app running on the background when i don't need it.
