N73 joystick broken

Hi guys, for the last few days the joystick on my N73 has become so terribly loose its almost unusable ... everynow and then it sort of goes back to normal but 10 seconds later its all over .

I have looked at the joystick mechanism on cnn.cn but I think you have to solder these? How easy would this be? ... cnn.cn don't have preassembles PCBs from what I could tell, my phone is not under warranty either.

Any ideas on what I should do?, thanks heaps

PS: I am in NZ with no NSCs x10

Yep.

PCB no longer exists on cnn.cn
Its not the top "thumb" part of the joystick that is broken, its the mechanism underneath that.

If I bought said mechanism new off cnn.cn has anyone had experience installing it? I have never soldered before ...
