N73 Doesn't Power ON help!

I recently purchased a NOKIA N73 unlocked two days ago, tried updating the FIRMWARE via the data cable yesterday using the NSU. In the middle of the installation, it says the update failed. Now my phone no longer powers on.

I tried removing the battery and putting it back in, tried hooking it up to the charger (nothing shows up), hooked it back up to the data cable and my computer detects it as a generic nokia device, but the update software fails to see it.

i know this problem has been mentioned before, but if anyone has found a solution on their own, i would really appreciate it.

i plan to contact the nokia service center, but it appears there are none by me within a 50 mile radius that is capable of fixing a nokia n73 (los angeles). that doesn't sound right at all though.

Since N73 is not officially released in NA, i don't think that Nokia service center will be able to fix it for you. The only solution i can think of is iunlock.com. I never dealt with them myself but they seem to be thought of very highly on these forums.
 
iunlock.com is kinda helpful with the N73. As far as my understanding goes (through experience), your options are to either flash to the Music Edition firmware (listed as the latest) or to a lesser, test version which I am currently stuck with. There's nothing wrong with the test firmware, except you can't flash your phone using even the newest version of Phoenix or NSU. Evan will definitely recover your phone, but these are the only two options you'll have.
 
thanks for your help guys, but does anyone know first how I can get the device to turn on again? i know with the n91, to turn it on if it was dead, was to hit GREEN + 3 + *, but that doesn't seem to work for n73's. thanks!
