N73 Camera Issue

My N73 seems to work fine until recently. Whenever I take an indoor picture (I've tried several places), that my pictures would come out quite orange/yellowish. This is all done in auto mode. However, if I take the pictures in incandescent mode, all seems to be "normal". I don't believe this is normal. Not too sure if it has anything to do with the new firmware that I have recently updated: V3.0638.0.0.1. But if anyone encounter the same issue or have a solution to it, please let me know! Thanks!

My N73 would take pictures that turned out a dark blue color -- no visible content, just a really dark blue blur. I tried a full reformat of the phone, and that didn't make a difference. From an end user point-of-view, there was nothing else I could do, so I returned it.

The store I bought from hadn't encountered this issue, but they refunded me the full price, so presumably it passed their test for a return-as-defective.

I also ran into my flash washing out a lot of pictures -- and the N73 flash is rather weak to be washing out anything, IMO. I assumed that both of my problems had to do with the shutter opening/closing with bad timing, but I don't know for sure.

Sorry that doesn't help solve your issue, but I would hazard a guess that your problem is hardware related. If your phone is new enough to qualify for a replacement, I'd give that a try while you can.

omg r u serious thats a hardware issue? mine does the same thing, but not all the time. just sometimes it turns out to be blue its really stupid.. i thought it was firmware related and didnt return it now it is too late

I think the blue tones in low-light photos is a firmware issue -- I take alot of photos with my N73 and noticed the bluish cast went away when I upgraded to the new firmware.

In my case, it wasn't blue tones. The image was just a dark blue, as if I had taken an unlit shot in a room with almost no light. Rather than a bluish cast to a visible image.

So that, the tones, could be a firmware issue I suppose.

Yes, let's pray it is...I will try the ME APAC firmware once I can get my hands on a code with English and Traditional Chinese.

Yesterday when I used the camera to take pictures of my kids, every 3 or 4 pictures, the camera would freeze and I would have to turn the phone on and off. It was the most damn annoying thing.
