N73 - 1 key doing odd things - hard reset?

On my wifes N73 when she is perhaps trying to pick up voice mail when she presses the 1 key it goes into the gallery

Seems the phone is playing up - I don't know if it is faulty or if it has got "confused".

Anyway - under tools/settings/phone/general thers is an option "Orig.phone settings" but when I hit this it requests the lock code.

The books says it is 12345 - but when I push the 1 key the gallery fires up ...

Any suggestions? Is there another way to reset the phone?

Is it possible you have the key assigned to do that, or some software that tells that key to do that. Try going into one touch dialing, and remove and reassign the 1 key.
 
Thanks - actually that worked and I rebooted the phone but the problem persists.

If I try and dial a number - say 01227 etc when I press the 1 a 5 comes up and the phone goes into the Gallery

Any thoughts anyone or is this a dud handset?
 
wait i think you just solved it, do it again, but dont reboot, then do the original settings.

Deep Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.
