N70 and MediaNet?

My dad just got a new phone and gave me his Nokia N70 he got from China at the end of last year. Now this is my first smartphone and it's freaking sweet as hell and I want to be able to check my email and what not. The thing is, I thought all I had to do was upgrade my plan to MediaNet to be able to access the internet but everytime I try to download a report for Weather or go to google.com on Opera, it either times out or asks for an access point.

How do I fix it? Or what am I doing wrong?

The Europe site may not support the Cingular settings so try this.

If the N70 isnt listed, sometimes you can select a similar model and the settings will still be sent and work just fine. Pre-V3's (which seem to configure the moment the Cingular Sim is popped in) I used to do this if it was a phone that hadnt been released in the US. For example, I set up my old 6260 with 6620 settings and it worked without a hitch.

Cool, thanks guys. I guess I am suppose to use Cingular Express Access Point. Is there anyway to select that so it's always like that rather than having me choose whenever I need to connect?

Make that your default connection. It's hard for me to remember where the default settings are on a V2 but someone will hopefully chime in.
