Ok so ive read yes cutting dead/split ends effect hair growth rate and the opposite as well. Can anyone confirm this?

yes it affects the growth because you're cutting it....so it seems as if your hair is growing slower, what you should do is wait until your hair grows to then length you want it then trim it so that it can be even, you don't need to cut your hair evey month. keep it healthy and you won't have split ends. FYI..your hair is dead from the moment it comes out of the root...so be careful! :)

Fact. Leaving dead/split ends on your hair actually just lets the hair break off and continue to split up the strand and prevents healthy growth. Cutting these ends every 4-6 weeks allows your hair to grow from the root and not lose length at the ends. :-)

Kind of like taking a spool of thread and unwinding it (growing) and trying to get a smooth piece but fraying it on the loose end and it continues to fray and won't remain a single thread, but if you snip off the frayed end and continue to unroll the thread you have a long solid piece of unfrayed thread, if you can understand my symbolic meaning, lol!!
