What are some good ones out there since this is in the forum detail.Only ones I can think of is Gun Sword on the search for a brother and a man who did the main person wrong.Also DragonBall Bulma Goku and the Pig on a quest for magic balls that will grant one wish
 
You could try Basara.
The full story is a manga of 27 volumes, but there is a 13 episode anime that goes up to volume 5.
It's a shoujo and gender-bender, but don't let that turn you off, it's a really good watch/read and it's my favorite manga.
