Mystery piece from Buick Park Ave door?

I bought a new door for my park ave, and inside the door is a piece about 2 ft long and its curved. It has 2 holes to bolt it to something and has a groove running through it. The groove is lined with padding and brushes. I think it has something to do with the window. Where does it go?
 
This is what the back of your window rides in as it goes down. It should hook up at top and bolt in to a bracket about half way down or at the very bottom of the door!
