Mystery Pain

Hi Im a 33 year go female and Ive have this mystery problem since 99 and im wondering if anyone here can have a try at figuring this out for me. I have had constent wrist pain midsection at the wrist since 99. At the time I was AD Navy and was starting to developed a problem where I couldnt get in the push up position without being in real pain at the wrist. Basically if I put my hands at a 90 degree angle against the floor to do a push up or push with my hands the pain is awful and stays for days not hours and the pain still is around if I do anything like that. Really feels like I broke my wrists. They had to wave me off the pushups because of that. I also have problems opening up jars/bottles at home and my hand strength has gone down majorly. I call this a mystery diesese because it just seems no doctor can figure out what it go be. Ive had MRI's I have had xrays and blood tests all coming back negative on anything they think it would be but its still hurts the same as it did in 99. They seem to think it possibly could be RA but idk. I have researched etc for many years trying to figure out what it could be. I do have history of stress fratures but thats to the mid section of my shine bones. I do have bumbs all over my shine area's. I just blame it constent running etc I had to do. Hand splints/braces accuatally make the pain worse if i wear for long periods. Ive had a EMG and carpal tunnel has been ruled out. If its basic arthritus then there isnt anything I can do really but I devolped this problem at 22 years of age and it has never gone away. Please give me some suggestions of what this could possibly be. Thank you.

I'm sorry for all you are going through. Usually when you get a pain like that it means that there is nerve impingement. I know this sounds stupid, but have you had an MRI of your back-upper thorasic? Because the nerves come out of the back I was just wondering if anyone had checked on that area of your back. All parts of our body are related to your back in some spot or another. There are also meds our for nerve pain.

Sorry I can'tbe of more help to you that this. I'm sure someone will wade in here with some suggestions....good luck.

Thank you for the reply :) . Well I did have a accident I had on my first ship where I fell backwards and landed on a metal edge in 98 but that was more middle and low back area. I dont have any real issues back there but your not the only person to suggest this to me. Ive tried to get them to look into it but they to focused on thinking its RA. Maybe I need to push them more on it.
