New member
over the last 4 months ive lost around 30-35 lbs and dont know why
here are 3 factors that have changed in the past months but none of them would make sense
-rarely use my inhaler instead of daily
-dating a brazillian, changed my diet to primarily rice and beans
-lost my manuel labor jobs, no physical activitry except walk
any ideas?

Hi, Godsmackgurl . . . any or all of those may be contributing factors.

As for the inhaler, is it a steroid type? Steroids can keep your weight up. When I was first diagnosed with asthma, I was on a steroid inhaler and gained a lot of weight. I worked to get off of it permanently and the weight came off without trying.

Beans and rice along with other things you are probably eating in your new diet are high in fiber. Fiber is a good thing also to lose weight and clean out the intestinal tract where excess material can contribute to higher weight.

Walking rather than doing manual labor can cause your muscles to decrease. Muscles weigh more than fat tissue. I am dealing with this now that I am older and not as active.

If losing weight was something you wanted to do, congratulations!

If you are concerned about it, seek out a nutritional counselor. They can best advise you on what your calorie and nutritional needs would be to get your weight back on.
