So, about an hour and a half ago I noticed a bright red rash on the outside of my left leg. It didn't burn or itch, and it wasn't elevated, so I figured it was nothing. Then my knees began to hurt. The pain has slowly increased and the rash has spread farther down my leg as well to the other one. It has also become slightly elevated. It is a little warm to the touch and burns if I touch it too hard or scratch it. I've googled it and searched various health websites, but everything I find has "fever" or "sore throat", etc., included in the symptom list. There doesn't appear to be any kind of bug or spider bite near the rash, either. I also haven't done anything different or worn any different clothing, although we DID have an outside pep rally today at my school.
Does anyone know or have any idea what this is? My mom gave me a Benedryl and had me rub some ointment on it, but it doesn't appear to be getting any better.
