MyMedia Retrieval

Verizon Wireless has made it easier than ever to retrieve previously downloaded content whenever you have gotten a new phone!

In the past, you would have to redownload the applications, then give customer service a call...and then hope they credit it. You use to be charged prior to ever getting the credit. It wasn't an effective system.

Verizon Wireless has MyMedia Retrieval. It's fairly simple to use.

Rules:

  • You must have received a certified warranty replacement or comparable there of.
  • You can only get applications within the last 90 days. This policy has always been the case.
  • You can retrieve games, ringtones, and almost any other application.
  • Free to use. If the application is on a monthly subscription, it will reinitialize your subscription. If it was paid for completely, then you won't be rebilled.

How To Use Guide: My Media Retrieval

sometimes the my media retrieval won't work...in that case (like in mine) call the toll free number and they will tell you to go buy every thing you have previously boughten again and they will credit your account for those. It's a pain and takes a lot of time....but atleast you didn't waste money!

Verizon Wireless reps are now required to have you do my media retrieval...they can no longer issue credits for defective apps (or they're not supposed to).

My media retrieval will always work...if it doesn't, call the web support team at #WEB from your phone. Remember, you can only retrieve 90 days worth of apps and you only have one opportunity to do so when you receive a new warranty replacement device. If you reject it...that's it. Also, my media retrieval isn't valid for upgrades.
