myfaves on an 8700

Ive been trying to search about if there is a way around to get myfave to work on my 8700. I read a couple threads, but wasnt quite sure if it actually works.

Heres the deal. I have a blackberry 8700, and my sister has a blackberry pearl. We are on the same family plan. If we were to get myfaves, would I be able to use the plan, by just purchasing the myfave plan, then sticking my sim card into her phone so I can get the message to activate the plan? Then all I have to do is go online to change my top 5 contacts, and when I put the sim card back into my 8700, it will work?

If not, that kind of sucks. Right now we have the 1,000 whenever and free nights and weekends, and we are cutting it close every month, but we dont want to switch to the next plan cause its like 100 bucks for 2000 minutes and we dont need that much. We mostly only call the same 5 people, so the myfaves would work perfect for us.

the software doesn't go onto the sim card, the sim card (with a fave5's plan) activates the menu on fave5 capable phones (it's unactivated until that point). even without the software, the fave5 plan can work, but t-mobile doesn't want customers to use non fave5 phones and if they find out you are doing it, you can get charged for calls you made using the non fave5 phone later on in your billing.

Now I am not telling you, you can do this or that this story I heard will work, because you should follow the guidelines t-mobile has set in place and you might be subjected to penalities if caught, BUT I hear if you go onto the t-mobile website and change your phone choice to a blackberry pearl, you can keep all your email addy n' stuff intact and then you can go choose a fave5 plan. after that to choose your 5, you will use the website (since you wouldn't have the software on your handheld).

Anyway... that's the word on the street.
