MyFav for T-Mobile will be available on October 2nd

From what I saw, it's just software? It is loaded by default on all Pearls from T-Mobile, but there was nothing I saw that led me to believe that anything with the application was available, so maybe it pulls a service book down? Andrew?
 
Yes, what happens is when you have it added to your account it's a software downloaded that is sent to your phone. Once your phone recieves it, a menu featuere is added so you can make any changes you need to.

It's nice to have, when you upgrade but if you don't use the minutes you have don't worry about it.
 
I have the Blackberry Minutes & Mail feature for my Pearl, I'm paying $59.99 a month for 1000 Anytime Minutes and Unlimited Texts/Data/Email. Will I be able to add this feature to my account or do I need to wait for Tmobile to come out with a Blackberry Minutes & Mail w/MyFav plan specifically?

If there is such a "software update" that is required to be downloaded to your phone, why can't the 8700g also download this software? The 8100 is also a type of blackberry, do the two phones differ that much not to accomodate an update??

Actually it is software related but the software is on the phone out of the box but isn't enabled until you get the plan then the myFaves menu is enabled which is why you have to have a specific phone. I am a T- Mobile Retail Sales Rep so if anyone has questions PIN me.
 
yeah from what I can tell the new phone come preloaded with this software, and a service menu is sent to the phone and it puts some new software on there.
 
ummm wont benifit me will just keep my 49.99 1500 anytime mins with unlimited m2m and unlimited n+w + grandfatherd 300 txt and grandfathered t-zones . . . thanks tmo - but bring back Mrs ZORRO
 
that totally rocks ... I was totally shocked to find out how myfav works between different phone carriers ... is this something that other carriers are thinking about adding? or is it something that's going to make Sprint and Verizon customers even more pissed at us t-mobile folk. hehehehe.
 
MyFav is a marketing ploy to sell phones plain and simple. For this service to work you don't actually need a "compatible phone." The software just allows you to change your MyFav from your phone. A friend's wife works for T-Mobile and he has had this feature for months on his MDA without any additonal software. He just makes the changes online or by calling CS. That being the case the real question is how strict are they going to be about requiring a "compatible phone."
 
but what if u have more than 5 friends you talk too alot - huh??? besides the plans that i saw with the mins were not that good anyway imo.
