my xbox is flashing red...help?

i was playing condemned, and then my xbox 360 made a high pitched noise and froze. i turned it off. now when i try to turn it on, the circle flashes red. what do i do!?

How many flashing red lights do you have?

If you have two, your console is probably overheating, so wait a while.

If you have three, hi, you have the Red Ring of Death and need to contact Microsoft.
