My Wii turns on but sends no power to my TV?

I'm having this weird situation with my Wii. Before today, I was able to play games just fine on it, for many hours on end too. As of today, for some reason, it won't fully turn on. The light on the power button of my Wii is always red fyi, and I'm still able to turn it on via wiimote or pushing the button to get the light green. Then I can hear the disc drive start spinning like it's supposed to, but it seems like it's not sending power to my TV because my TV stays blue. It's all plugged in correctly, and I know it's not the TV because I can run my PS2 just fine. I unplugged all the wires and left it there for an hour, and it still didn't work after plugging it back in. I'm assuming there might be something wrong with the power adaptor, but the Wii itself still has power, it just isn't able to get to the TV or something. Can anybody help?
I checked my AV cables and they're all operating fine and are plugged in accordingly. My Wii is also not letting me power it off with the wiimote. I need force it off by pushing in the power button on the Wii. I'm pretty positive that the problem in more likely due to the power cable. I'm reading online that there might have been a short or something. I have no idea how though.
