my wii remote is broke out of the box

so i just received a wii yesterday as an xmas gift but the remote it came with is broken... i couldn't get past the "press the A button" screen. good thing i have an extra remote and nintendo is shipping me a new one

just curious though anyone else have this happen to them?

yea i tried all that shit man. the cursor doesn't appear on the screen, the buttons don't work, etc. i'm sure everything is set up correctly because my other remote works perfectly

Dude. I did this exact same fucking thing. After the press A screen you have to POINT your controller at the screen. I spent 15 fucking minutes changing batteries, looking through the manual etc until I found that :duh:


edit: Woops. Never mind. I just saw you were able to get it working with a different controller. My bad....

me too took me forever and I was getting so pissed off
