one should we hang on to? We are really needing the extra cash as we are trying to travel to the Philippines for her brother's wedding. The Cougar has 89,000 miles on it and is in good condition, it gets about 25 miles to the gallon. The Honda Civic has 75,000 Miles on it and get about 30 mpg. The Honda has trouble on long road trips and can hardly make it up a hill with luggage, and has some nicks and dents from two minor collisions. Cougars are often reviewed as bad cars, but I've had surprisingly few problems with it, I'm not sure how it will hold up over the long haul, while the Civics are known to run for 200,000 miles or more. They are worth about the same amount of money so I'm having a hard time choosing which one to sell.

Normally I would say the Honda because Japanese cars tend to be very reliable, however if you have already had problems with it I would keep the Cougar. Plus you will probably get more for the Honda when you sell it.
