...better than pure php? Hey if there is any info you could help me with to convince our webdeveloper that he needs to learn wordpress. Our marketing teams really want the CMS and he currently uses his "own recipe" for our websites so our reliance is quite high on him and he's just a total douche.
Me: In 2012 you will be able to build pages that essentially come alive updating where you want and with whatever related content you would like, they are easy to update, and constantly improving in load time, seo, and content management system; that eliminates many inefficiencies in our current system and with a standardized format we reduce sole reliance on the IT team for updates.
Him: My point is that I’ll have to do the same job (making templates/plug-ins/themes as it’s traditional to customize everything) but with additional work as I have to follow WordPress’ recommendation or requirement. So to convince me you have to show me real benefits of changing. Which I haven’t seen any coz most of the benefits from WordPress that I cannot do (yet) I can archive by just integrate it to my current frame work.
If you have a second to give me a few reasons I'd totally appreciate it.
