My w580i Mobile resets to factory theme, and files disappear/reappear! HELP!

Hi, recently purchased a used w580i which according to the previous owner was in very good condition. It worked fine for a couple of days but all of the sudden it started to sort of format itself, it resets the theme I chose to the Ericsson one, and all the pictures and music I downloaded into it seem to disappear, but then after some minutes or hours reappear again. Also, just a few moments ago it shut itself down while I was playing some music and it was still holding a full charged battery. Any ideas and or solutions to this problem? Please help!
 
it must be software problem, I think you should take it to local store for help.
 
Well, first try to take out the memory card and re-seat it. If your pictures, videos, and themes are on the memory card, and it gets ejected or comes loose, that'll cause this problem.

If that doesn't fix it, You need a Data cable to fix it. Then go to the Sony Ericsson website, and reload or update the software on the phone.
