Last night while watching television my Vizio LCD GV47L made a sound like a gun being fired and the screen went black and no sound. I can turn the power to the tv on and the lights along the bottom of the unit turn on, but that is all. Before when I turned it on a click would be heard but that is gone also. I took the back plating off and looked at the wiring and boards but do not see any scorch marks, but that does not mean much with all the other parts on the boards. Wondering if the lcd blew up, or whatever did has caused no picture and sound. It could be toast and time for a new one, but figured I'd see if anyone had any suggestions.
My Vizio LCD has no picture and no sound after a loud noise watching tv.?
