My vet gave me aceproazine to sedate my OES. It made him more alert and less...

...receptive to grooming.? I know I'm a bad person for using drugs, but grooming is a BIG problem with OES. She is a rescue dog with social problems toward adult males. She,however, likes me but will not tolerate any hair or nail cutting. No local groomer will handle her because of her size. I am willing to spend a lot of time and money to solve this problem. Once I adopt a dog I will not abandon it.
The vet also tried diazepam, but it had less effect than acepromazine. Will anyone help? Thanx

Tellington Touch works. There's many different touches that work for different problems. You can google TTouch to get info - it's something you can teach yourself easily. You can also learn from them how to do a body wrap which helps amazingly to calm a dog.

Of course, it isn't a magic fix - it's an ongoing process that takes more than one session, but it does work.
