My USB flash drive cannot seem to store Information correctly. the pc says...

...incorrect format for all files.? I bought a new Sony USB flash drive and all the documents I store in do not open properly. even though the file open ok when they are on the system's hard disk. I Formatted the disk already and that does not seem to help. Does anybody have Ideas.
