My USB flash drive broke, can it be fixed?

The part that goes into the computer is broken, but I think it's still attached to the memory. It was working fine an hour earlier, but when I tried putting it back in, y computer, or any computer for that matter, wouldn't read it.

Please, help me. Is there anything I can do?

There are movie scripts on the flashdrive too, that meet a deadline. One's in October and the other is in January of 2011.
