MY unlocked IPhone Doesn't come up with Caller ID?

I have a IPhone 3GS 16GB that i unlocked and I've had it for at least 3 to 4 months now but after this snow storm that knocked out a transformer the reception on the phone wasn't too good but on top of that every time someone calls me it pops up saying Unknown weather there in my contacts or not . I called T-mobile of course they couldn't help me so I'm stuck this dilemma. I anyone could help me with this i greatly appreciate it
