My baby girl has always slept through the night(since the first night we brought her home), we put her down in the crib awake or sleeping and can sleep from 9-11(whatever time we go to bed) until around 6-7 am when our alarms go off for work. However during the day after i feed her, if I hold her she sleeps but if I put her down in her crib, pack and play or anything then she will wake up and be upset. The only thing i can get her to sleep in during the day is my arms or her swing. I need to do things during the day or i would hold her all day that she wanted.
No I don't hold her for hours while shes asleep, we always put her down because we have things that we are doing (getting ready to move and trying to get everything packed in our house) so i know shes not spoiled by being able to do that before. I'm worried about her not sleeping during the day unless shes in a swing. The longest she will sleep while not in my arm/swing is about 15 minutes then she wakes up and is cranky. I'm wondering if shes ok waking up so often emotionally and physically. I have never had a newborn so I don't know what is regular and good.
