my twelve year old daughter has been getting stomach pains before and after her

cycle ideas to ease pain plz.? She says that it happens before and after her cycle and her cycle has only just begun this past year..But I'm wondering if she needs to be checked by her doc.because she gets ill from it.She explains it as a sharp stabbing pain in her lower abdomen.We've got her Midol as per directed .we've been giving her one ibuprofen pill and have her lay down for a bit too.Are there any other parents that have gone through I know every child's different but I'm hoping that some one can help with a few suggestions.thanks Irish
