my tv screen has locked & says I need passcode to unlock.?

I bought this tv back in 2003,I don't ever remember putting any passcode on it. If I did it was so long ago I don't remember,and I never used it. How can I reset my tv,or put in new passcode I can remember?
 
Go to the web and find the site for your TV manufacturer. They will have a "Support" tab or page that you can access and ask the manufacturer how to bypass the passcode.

It must be parental lock; that's the only kind of lock I have seen on a television, but there are different methods for different manufacturers. Just unplugging the TV will not disable parental controls - obviously - because kids would be quick to figure that out.
