my treo 650 speaker doesnt have a dail tone but the music plays?

it make calls but i dont hear a ring. or i cant talk into it. but the music plays on it.
i cant call anyone or cant make any phone calls

That's called an answer tone, the owner of the phone didn't want anybody to hear a standard ring so they chose a song to play.
