the flash drive is bad and cannot be read, this is common with flash memory sometimes. it can be caused by the device being unplugged without ejecting it too many times. there is a small processor chip that gets fried in do this.
i would suggest contacting the mfg to have it replaced. most flash memory has at least 2 year warranty on them.
