my toyota corolla 98 model uses a carburettor.I sent in the car for the carb service.?

Now fuel consumption is too extremely high.20litres do not last for 2 days.I drive the car to and from work.Roughly 50km in total.I am so stressed i don't know why is it heavy on gas now?
