My Theory on the Martial Way

1.Style vs. Individual
2.Ring vs. Street vs. Traditional
3.3 Types of Fighting
4.Philosophy on Martial Arts
5.Traditional Criticism
6.Misconceptions – Wrist Locks
7.Conclusion

1.Style vs. Individual
-I believe that the individual is more important than the style, and I’m sure a lot of you would agree with me, styles are still very important however
2.Ring vs. Street vs. Traditional
-Ring: I believe ring fighting is the most watered down version of martial arts, the rules prevent many effective techniques to enter, however many traditional styles have been successfully adapted into the rules and regulations
-Street: I believe the street is where traditional arts fail, many arts like karate and taekwondo don’t teach a lot of effective techniques, that’s not to say they aren’t effective though, groin kicks and eye gouging are the reality, not high kicks
-Traditional: I believe traditional arts are effective, however many techniques/training methods aren’t realistic, take the hip punching for instance, I know that this isn’t how they really punch, but why even train like this? You practice how you play, and if you practice hip punching, then in a high pressure situation, you will hip punch. I also would like to criticize the horse stance, I know that this is simply a training method, but again why train this way? Again in a high pressure situation, you may end up in a horse stance, and that’s a one way ticket to a groin kick.
3.Three types of fighting
-1. Ring: lots of rules and regulations
-2. School: unsaid rules like eye gouging and groin kicking
-3. Street: no rules, this is for your life
4.Philosophy on Martial Arts
-Whatever type or style you may prefer, I believe no style is perfect for an individual, because everyone is different, high kicks may simply not work for some… I think an individual should learn as much as possible, then simply absorb what’s useful and discard what’s useless to them… again what one person doesn’t like, may be what someone else think is the godsend.
5.Misconceptions
-There have been many misconceptions about me, the above should spell out what I believe, and no just because it’s not in the UFC, doesn’t mean it’s not effective, and the UFC and the street are simply two different places.
-Wrist locks in the UFC, the UFC outlaws small join manipulation, and your wrist isn’t a small joint, the reason it’s not in the UFC is because fighters wrap their wrists and have wrist supports on their gloves, which makes turning the wrist very difficult
6.Conclusion
-These are my beliefs, if you disagree, you disagree, please don’t just insult me, and please don’t tell me you’re going to fracture my skull (I lol at that)…
-If you wish to change my mind or critique me, simply post, and an insult won’t get you results.
•some of the yahoo community seems really want to make me stop posting, because my beliefs simply don’t match theirs, I invite criticism, not insulting, please remember, but if you still have a strong urge to insult me into your beliefs, just remember, I’m game anytime ;)
@Kokoro

1. like is said individual over style, did you not read?
2. I have, and it is a lot more difficult
3. like i said you practice how you play
4. yes that misconception lol... and i never had my p(e)nis out
5. what part exactly is flawed? i would like to learn
6. like is said insulting will get you no where, lol...

@Kokoro part 2
I'm pretty sure everyone has flaws, even a true master like yourself
and a different mindset doesn't mean i'm flawed, i'm pretty sure i have the right to my own opinion, maybe it's YOU thats flawed, maybe its YOU that simply can't evolve
but like i said, i'm open to criticism, not insults
