20 gallon: 8 tetras, gourami and a rainbow shark
if im not overstocked how many fish can i add??

Well I can't really say because you didn't say what kind of tetras and gourami you have. If you said I could say whether or not you have too many fish in your tank. From what it looks like it looks like your tank is full. You can go to a 29 gallon tank and add a few more.

you are not overstocked, but if you add more fish you probobly will be. my advice is not to get anymore fish until one dyes, just replace them like that and you will be fine.

Eh... 20 gallons is minimum for most gourami (excluding dwarfs, kissing, snakeskin, and giant). The tetras and gouramis alone technically fill the tank. The rainbow shark grows to 6 inches (I believe) and gets kind of mean as it grows. Your tank is about full. You might be able to get away with some cory cats for the bottom, but that would be a push.

It depends on how big your fish are! I have a 30 gallon tank and I have 2 angel fish, 2 algae eaters, 2 Mcdaniels and a shark fish and they have alot of room.
