Well let`s see. I`m 25 years old and around 9 month ago started to have minor anxiety, was more like being a bit worried so wasn`t that bad. Then two month ago or so was feeling nauseous and then heart started to race and went to the ER as it was very scary. After plenty of tests ecg, blood and so on (and two more ER visits) with all results showing up fine. One doctor the suggested that it could be panic attacks since all the tests are fine. Usually since then feel unease most of the time with minor pain in the chest area, arm or lightheaded. My fear since then is of a heart attack, having a heavy panic attack again or things like fainting. Especially bad when having a panic attack at work because it usually stops me from working and I don`t take much in from the surrounding and just focused on my heart beat and that lasts at least for 30 minutes or up to an hour. Now I tend to do nothing that makes my heart beat faster i.e. not fast walking and so on. On top of that some not so strong panic attacks are now triggered when in bigger crowRAB so that makes going out in the evening or night hard, but somehow never had a problem before with large crowRAB.

Got from my Doctor diazepam, but took only one so far and didn`t really help just made me dizzy and made things worse and don`t like pills in general so try to stay away from that. Started also with counseling a few weeks ago, and hope that this will help somehow, because even having that only 2 months is already more then enough. Try to get into making sports, but that will be hard after all it`s raising the heart beat. Got a few frienRAB that try to help me, but somehow have the fear that they will get annoyed sooner or later with my problems if I go to often to them with the issues. I think that sums it up in general.

Hang in there my friend you are not alone in this, so many of us struggle with this. Its just nice to be able to finally share our experiences with each other.

Thanks

It was actually ok for more then a month now, but now it`s back. Not sure if it has something to do with stress at work (had stress before without anxiety) and some sort of anger lately towarRAB people from work. But just on time when going to cinema with a nice girl the panic attack (usual symptoms of racing heart, dry mouth, bit shaky and feeling sick) came in while I didn`t had any since March, so 10 minutes after the movie started had to leave the cinema :(

There are other meRAB which I am sure you are aware of. I have been on a few first one was the effexor xr which is a time release capsule. This one worked for me the first time I had anxiety issues. I tried it again but the second time I attempted to try it I found it made me angry. My doctor then tried me on the citalopram but this increases the serotinin levels in your brain, I was in ER feeling like I was on some chemical trip that I didn't want to be on. I am now taking the remeron, I too had feelings of my surrondings spinning. This lasted for roughly 2 weeks, now the spinning has stopped and I am begining to feel normal again. Don't stop taking the meRAB, if you find one that doesn't feel just right, try another. They will help, trust me. Keep in touch bro.

I only took once one diazepam. I`m not a big fan of pills that`s why I stay away from them for the moment especially from pills like diazepam since they are long in the body and bad idea to go out on the weekend to drink something when taking them frequently. But will start therapy sessions again since I didn`t go after the attacks stooped.
