I have dealt with general anxiety for 13 years. I hate it! my first experience was short of breath, rapid heart rate and general sick feeling, loss of appeite. I was taken to er thought I was having a heart attack, they tested and said everything ok, but went back 3-4 more times, finally went to family dr. I dealt with all the symptoms daily for about 3 months, then developed phobias, started started staying in the house, then would develope into panic attacks, haven't had that lately, but still from time to time, becoming more often, have anxiety issuses, afraid I have serious illness when symptoms persist. I have been given paxil, zoloft, but afraid of medication side affects. I have a husband and young children, sometimes it becomes a struggle just to take care of everything and deal with all the anxiety, anyone tried any natural or herbal supplements?

exercise really helps i find. i was going every day for 1/2 an hour on a treadmill just fast walking and i felt great. then got a bad headache one day after and now i'm paranoid to go back and feel AWFUL again.

but yeah, a bit of exercise beats any medication or herb. seriously. i hope i can go back soon.

i know how you feel
its so hard to focus when dread and anxiety are around.
i work out too almost daily and yes it really helps! but i still think i need to see someone to help me again, but i dont want to be on medication. GOOD LUCK! :)

Exercise is magic. Eating healthy with exercise is the only thing that has helped me. Yes, there are many herbs and or supplements that may aid in corabating anxiety. Just do a google search and you will find your ans. I'v tried everything under the sun and I can not express how much exercise has helped me. I could'nt handle the sexual side effects from the meRAB. A couple of sups which helped me is passion flower and inositol. Good luck.
