My sony laptop takes 19.5 volts at 3 amps and the toshiba charger puts out 19 volts at 3.5 amps. can I just wire on the jack from my broken sony piece onto the the working toshiba charger (obviously making sure I matched up the polarity correctly)?
P.S. it burnt out because someone that used the computer had the charger lying on the bed covered with a blanket and it overheated
