My sony ericsson C903 won't charge or turn on?

Well here it goes, my c903 got a little taste of water recently. some of the water got in but just a little. it didn't have any bad effects on my phone immediately. just some fogging inside the screen. i thought everything was alright. but then at night, my battery got low. but it didn't ran out. it was just like 5%. and suddenly, it went blank. i couldn't turn it on. so i charged it. but when i started charging it, this odd solid red light appeared on my camera key. i didn't know what it was because i thought that was normal. so i left it to charge for several hours. but then when i got back and unplugged the charger, (the solid red light was still on btw. it wasn't blinking) my phone didn't turn on! i surfed the internet to find solutions. i did find one. it said to take out my battery first, then plug the charging cable while battery is out, and put the battery back on (while plugged in). it worked! my phone went back to normal. but hey, just for a moment. the next day, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. the phone suddenly went blank even though my battery didn't run out. and the solid red light appeared again. and i tried using the same solution again, but it didn't work this time around! i searched the internet again, but all i could find was problems involving "blinking red lights" and "dead batteries". my red light is solid. not blinking. and my phone is still a few weeks old. can anyone help me? what's the problem? does it have to do with the water incident? or is my battery dead? or is my phone dead? your suggestions and tips would truly be helpful. thanks in advance.
