My son's fish tank has got little worm-like things moving and I need to know what

to do!? He has a 2 gallon tank and only has 3 small fish in it. (they are not too big or etc for the tank, the petstore helped us to pick them out) What are these tiny tiny worm-like things and what do I need to do? Thanks so much!
no not red, they are tiny like a piece of floss and brown/black. They are not on the fish but on the bottom on top of the gravel and at the top of the tank too, that has no water.
 
What kind of fish do you have? They could always be babies from fish that give birth. (Not lay eggs) I mean, if they are worms, where would they have come from? Life doesn't happen from nothing.
 
Are they on the fish or on the tank?

If they're on the tank, I would guess planaria. If they're on the fish, not so sure. Post a picture if you can get one.
