Okay my son just turned two he is also profoundly deaf and has a cochlear implant in one of his ears...my doctor said one of my sons speech therapist thought he may have autism? What should I look for in my son to tell if he has autism its So hard to know because he has only had his implant in for about 8 months and cant talk. I've been internet surfing signs of an autistic child and am just having a hard time seeing what thetherapistt is..one thing he also does that was similar to a child in a video I seen was he rotates his hands and feet and will roll his eyes around...he has done this since he was little but mostly when he is in his car seat bored and we are driving or when he is bored on the couch or in bed trying to sleep? He can't get into beactuallyydiagnosedt till September...anysuggestionss or comments are great.
The person who thinks he has autisum is a speech therist that works with kids that are deaf...he is also a audioligst? But he works with a birthto3 teacher who thinks that he does not have autisum...he has an older sister but is a pain so he sledom plays with her and he is not in daycare so he isnt aroudn other kids much. he likes to cuddle but only on his terms.
