...mechanic shop and had the? following done: head cylinder, gasket set, thermostat, oil and antifreeze, spark slugs, wire set, egr valve sensor, belt and idle pully for a total of $1586.52. It still ran rough so i took it back and they charged me $145.00 to replace the fuel injector. It still runs rough and the engine light stays lit. Can you help me? I've been the only owner of the car and has always ran great until now.

When an engine seriously overheats the pistons swell inside the cylinder walls. When a car is siezed it means those pistons swelled bigger and get crammed into the cylinder walls stopping them from going up and down. for your engine to ride smooth as it may have you would need to pull out the engine take off everything and have it honed, then replace the pistons and piston rings. that would be a rebuild..........if it still runs, doesnt overheat, shut off on its own or have any other serious problems, you may just want to leave it and cut your losses. And the check engine light isnt a big deal, You could go to any car place and have them plug a computer sensor under the steering wheel and it will have some codes come up that tell you whats wrong.....but usually that little light doesnt mae a lick of difference. Sorry about your situation
