My son has an xbox 360 arcade . He is 11 on Wed.?

I want to buy him another system possibly ps3, really don't want another xbox because he has ruined 6 discs by moving them. Any suggestions. My other option is give him my husbands ps2 buy him 2 wireless remotes and he can buy new games for it with his bday $$ the games he wants are $20 less then his xbox games. Let me know what you think. Thanks
